Imagine! the gospel of Matthew being typed out on A4 pages. Depending on the print size etc. this could add up to about 40 pages. Imagine the pages being stuck together side by side (somewhat like an ancient scroll) and the pages being laid out on a table about 2 metres long. There is already a fairly obvious first section of this gospel with the stories of Jesus as an infant. There is already a fairly obvious last section with the story of the crucifixion of Jesus. Let's go forward and back through these two sections to consider what's in between.
