Jesus therefore realised (because the crowd were calling him 'the prophet') that they were about to come and seize control of him so they could make him a king. He therefore departed and went back to the mountain on his own.

Now there was a certain man who was ailing. He was Lazarus from Bethany which was the village of Mary and Martha her sister. Mary was the one who had anointed the Lord with ointment and who had wiped off his feet with her hair. Her brother Lazarus was ill. His sisters therefore sent (a message to Jesus) saying "Lord the one that you love is ill." On hearing this Jesus said "This ailment is not to result in death but rather for the glory of God so that the Son of God may be glorified through it." Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. When therefore he heard that he (Lazarus) was ill he remained where he was for two days.
